Ideas about the house from Kandace:

1. Would like a breezeway/mudroom possibly laundry room connecting garage and house.
2. Would like bigger gathering area for extended family gatherings
3. Wondered about taking the front bedroom and opening it to the living room for more space
4. Would like bigger master bedroom and possibly a deck off the Master bedroom
5. Bigger windows in master bedroom
6. Would like bedrooms together
7. Would love pantry near kitchen bigger dining area, and more counter space
8. Likes finish work with bookcases, interesting details
9. Open up view to the backyard

Ideas about the house from Matt:

1. Wants nice “man cave” in the back of the garage
2. Would like window to see the backyard from the man cave
3. Would maybe like to open up garage between front and back.
4. Wants breezeway/mudroom
5. Adding room over the garage for more space in Master bedroom and second floor area
6. Matt doesn’t want to move the kitchen, he likes what the previous owners have done

Ideas about the house from Kathy:

1. Wishes there was a way to open back of the house to the view.
2. Would like a window over the kitchen sink
3. Wishes there was a way to have the living room not be part of the kitchen, to avoid walking in the front door and seeing the kitchen sink
4. Like the idea of making the living room bigger
5. The doors in the house have plywood looking panels in the center of the door, wondering if there is a way to make that less obvious? Or is that the craftsmen’s look?
6. Basement stairs are steep and steps narrow, can these be improved? Need handrail for basement stairs.
7. Could we move the front door into the front bedroom and change that to the living room? so you enter and then won’t see the kitchen sink? Maybe not.

They don’t have answers for how long they want to live in this house. How long will they be happy in this house, depends on the end results and the cost. They can live in it now without doing anything. I think they will want more square footage in the main floor long term so I am thinking that adding more square footage would help. If there is way to create magic with the house I think it could be a great place to raise a family.
